If you are meeting me for the first time, I am a UK Certified International Youth Etiquette Consultant. I have spent most of my life teaching social etiquette and preparing young people, as well as professionals, for leadership. Mastering these skills is your child’s ticket to confidence, character development, opportunities and success.

​I know this to be true because I lived it out myself.

I was orphaned at five years of age, went into foster care, and was adopted at nine. It was at the age of nine that my etiquette journey began. Needless to say, I was unsure of myself, didn’t feel I belonged, and had to work at fitting in.

My adoptive parents began developing my confidence, building my resilience, exposing me to every opportunity possible, and incorporated social etiquette into my everyday life. They did not stop coaching me until I went off to college!

My lessons were diverse, I learned both the American and European “ways.” I learned how to dress, speak, walk into a room, shake hands, address adults correctly, perform all of my tasks in excellence, clean up behind myself, be of service to others and a host of other long forgotten niceties.

These behaviors got me noticed and remembered. I was invited to functions, asked to be a helper, given favor, and offered opportunities. Over time, I began to build my confidence, regain my worth, build my courage, and develop my physical strength. Quite frankly, I became a force!

People noticed when I walked into the room. I spoke perfect English with a powerful voice, and took pleasure in serving others. I won music awards, sport competitions, and was often asked to lead – I was President of my senior class, and a member of our city’s Board of Education Student Advisory Board.

I then went off to college. My first week on campus was unbelievable. I remember thinking “these students behave as if they have been let out of a cage for the first time – wild and free with no training.” I called my parents to thank them for the relentless coaching, grooming and correction they provided me.

I began with little, but through etiquette development, I became a successful and productive young leader.

Yes, that is correct. I have created micro etiquette lessons that will help your child to begin developing social etiquette skills, a necessary component of leadership!

In 10-minutes, you will learn one social skill, learn how to teach it to your child, and identify a way to make it a part of your child’s everyday life!
